REAL COUNTRY

FROM A REAL HORSE TOWN

King’s debut EP can easily be summed up in one word, “Country”. Hailing from the small horse town of Norco Ca, it’s a word and way of life he takes great pride in. The title track, “Country Was” started as a simple conversation between King and Co-writer Duane Beckman about the changes in country music towards a more urban sound with a heavy pop influence. Co-writer Kirk King’s talent for story line helped complete the title tracks message with, “what would county be if”… and the rest immediately came together.

The Country Was EP features the ballads “Baby Where Did You Go” and “Where the Good Guys Are” which showcase depth of experience and ability to share emotion and perspective with the listener.
